204. Rafael Sanchez head of the household at age 35, he was born in New Mexico as were both of his parents. He was a day laborer unemployed 1 month and he could read and write but not speak English. He could read and write Spanish. lived in a rented house.
205. Juanita Sanchez, his wife at age 34. She was born in New Mexico as were both of her parents. She could not read, write nor speak English.
206. Benito Sanchez, their son age 4 who was born in New Mexico.
207. Placida Sanchez, their daughter age 2 who was born in New Mecico.
208. Willian Hoburg, head of the household at age 57. He was born in New Mexico as were both of his parents. He is listed as a sheep raiser who could read, write and speak English. He owned his onw house on a farm. That means Mr. Holburg was born prior to the American occupation of New Mexico. It also means, see below, that he had to talk Spanish as well as English, as his wife could not speak English.
209. Chonita Hoburg, his wife, age 42 who was born in New Mexico as were both of her parents. She could not read, write nor speak English.
Note on the Hoburgs..... In the 1870 census it shows William Hoburg as a Military Storekeeper and having been born somewhere (HAN) whatever that means. AND his wife's first name there is listed as ENCARNACION.
210. Isidro Torres head of the household at age 48 who was born in New Mexico as were both of his parents. He is listed as a day laborer, unemployeed 2 months, who could read and write but not speak English. He owned his own house on a farm. So he could read and write in Spanish.
211. Adelaida Torres, his wife age 45 who was born in New Mexico as were both of her parents. She could not read, write nor speak English.
212. George Torres, age 17 their single son who was born in New Mexico. He could neither read, write nor speak English.
213. Lola Torres, their single daughter age 15 who was born in New Mexico and could not read, write nor speak English.

229. Francisca Olguin his wife at age 35. She was born in New Mexico as were both of her parents. She could not read, write nor speak English.

235. Lizzi Watrous, their single daughter age 20 who was born in New Mexico and who could read, write and speak English.
236. Carri watrous, their single daughter age 18 who was born in New Mexico. She could read, write and speak English.
237. Abraham Watrous, their single son age 16 who was born in New Mexico. He could read, write and speak English.

Note: In the 1880 U.S. Federal Census she is listed in Mora County, La Junta Precince No. 11 as ABELINA WILDENSTEIN, the wife of carl Wildenstein. and it lists her father as being born in Vermont. I will use Wildenstein for the remainder of this family here for correctness.
